Over the last fifteen years, Julie Jaramillo has faithfully served students, families, educators, and administrators within Title I schools and through GEAR UP. In the roles she has held in education, Julie has created reports to allow school district and grant-level personnel to monitor and correct their own data which cultivated a more collaborative environment for users and school administrators. As the GEAR UP New Mexico Data Coordinator, Julie implemented training, protocols, processes, and tools to advance data quality and controls within the grant. As the Director of Data Quality with Xcalibur, Julie supports GEAR UP grants in developing processes and systems to ensure a high level of data integrity. Julie has presented at the Annual GEAR UP Conference and Evaluators’ Institute.
Julie has a bachelor’s degree in Managing Information Systems from Indiana University, and she is working on a Master of Science in Data Analytics in July of 2018.
She is also a member of the American Evaluation Association and Flowing Data. In the context of high poverty schools, where the needs are limitless but the resources are limited, data unlocks the key to continuous student improvement. It is this belief that keeps Julie committed to working tirelessly compiling and evaluating data to increase student achievement for ALL students and their families.
